[SELASAR: Design by Research Webinar]
*SELASAR* is initiated by the alumni and the department itself
to celebrate the 55th anniversary of Department of Architecture UI
by reestablishing connections and showing concern for the students
who struggle in financing their studies.
*Design by Research* tries to reveals possibilities in inserting research act within a practice. There are numerous architecture, design, and art practices that involve research within their bodies of practice.
These practices are usually well-acknowledged by their work which blurs the boundaries between academic and professional.
The works that are the results of these practices have the sensibilities of a specific local issues, but at the same time have the awareness of a wider global discussion.
By inviting some relevant emerging architects, designers, and artists, we would like to gain more information about it.
It is intended to give an alternative sight from the mainstreams and well-established practices.
In the end, we hope there will be some innovations created by these kinds of research act.
For each participation, the donations collected will be funnelled by
Department of Architecture UI to the students in need.
